Crochet Baby Mittens...

Here is another one of my simple creations made with leftover yarn.  Well not all is done with leftover yarn but most are.

These adorable crochet mittens for babies.  I love these!  These will protect your little precious baby’s face from his/her fingernails while they are still little.  And not to mention it will keep their little delicate hands warm in the chilly months.  I made these to adjust easily with crochet drawstrings to tie…but you can also use ribbon if you want.

I crochet these by just doing a close stitch pattern so that their little fingers wouldn’t come out (don’t get me wrong their not that tight that they can’t).  The mittens in the Aran color the yarn is very soft (Michaels Loops & Thread Impeccable), the light blue one is a Red Heart yarn as well but a thicker yarn, and the pink ones are from Lion Brand Pound of Love.  All of these yarns I purchased at AC Moore or Michaels.

This is a great baby shower gift by the way.  All if not most of these that I have crochet are approximately 1-2” wide and about 2-3” long.  I would say they would fit 0-5months.  They are definitely machine washable.

How adorable are these.  I just want you to know that there will be more to come of these as I get more baby color yarn.  I did realize in making these that the regular worsted yarn made them thicker and a bit wider and the lighter yarn made them just right.  But hey as I always say use whatever you want to use.   Get crocheting on these adorable ideas for a gift for that mommy that is or will be expecting soon.
